C., probablemente en la antigua Persia<br \/>\nLa khettara consiste en una galer\u00eda subterr\u00e1nea que al cortar el nivel fre\u00e1tico permite que el agua salga por acci\u00f3n de la gravedad. La galer\u00eda est\u00e1 conectada con la superficie del terreno por unos \u201cpozos\u201d o conductos verticales cada pocos metros.
